  1. How do non-radicalised users, users at risk of radicalisation and already radicalised users communicate on gaming (-adjacent) platforms?
  2. How can radicalisation processes be identified and evaluated by analyzing user communication?
  3. What legal thresholds and ethical standards for intervention (should) apply to law enforcement and security services' analyses of group-related communication on gaming (-adjacent) platforms and messenger services?
  4. How can online prevention measures be implemented on gaming (-adjacent) platforms?
  5. How can prevention practitioners, security authorities and tech companies work together effectively?

Research Objectives

The aim of the RadiGaMe project is to better understand radicalisation on messenger services and gaming (-adjacent) platforms and to provide practitioners from law enforcement agencies and prevention work with approprivate and effective tools to support the identification, analysis and assessment of radicalisation processes and intervention efforts. The direct transfer of knowledge for relevant actors in civil society prevention practice, politics and security authorities is an integral part of the project.
