Below you will first find a brief, comprehensible overview of the collection and processing of your data. The detailed privacy policy (also with regard to the exact data and its use) follows directly afterwards.

We collect this data:

  • The domain name or IP address of your computer,
  • the client's file request (file name and URL),
  • the http response code,
  • the website from which you are visiting us.

This is how we collect your data:

The data that is collected when you visit our website is collected automatically, but without the use of cookies.

We use your data for this purpose:

  • For the technical administration and provision of the website.
  • For pseudonymised web analysis with Matomo.

We also use your data:

  • Exclusively within the framework provided by law.
  • For misuse detection and bug fixing.
  • To provide information to government agencies (upon request).

This is how long we store your data:

The duration of data storage depends primarily on the fulfilment of the purpose. This means that we store your data for exactly as long as we need it to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected. In some cases, however, there are statutory retention periods that provide for a different storage period. In these cases, we store the data for as long as required by law. If data is deleted after a different period in a particular context, this is specified below.

Full Privacy Policy

In this detailed data protection declaration, we explain in more detail the circumstances of the points set out above regarding data collection on our website. We cannot accept any liability for external links to third-party content, despite careful checking of the content.

Below you will find information on what data is collected during your visit to the website and how it is used:

1. Data Collection and Processing

Every access to our website and every retrieval of a file stored on the website is logged. We do this out of our interest in the flawless provision of our website (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO). The storage serves internal system-related and statistical purposes. We store this data for a maximum of 12 months until it is no longer required.

The logged information, in detail:

  • Name of the retrieved file,
  • date and time of access,
  • amount of data transferred,
  • notification of successful retrieval,
  • web browser and requesting domain,
  • the referrer URL,
  • the pseudonymised IP addresses of the requesting computers.

2. Disclosure of Personal Data

The personal data collected on our website will not be passed on to third parties.

3. Matomo

On this website, we use the web analysis service Matomo to analyse and check the use of our website. We can use the statistics obtained to improve our website and make it more interesting for you as a user.

We operate Matomo in a version that does not require cookies. This means that no Matomo cookies are stored on your computer for the purpose of web analysis. To analyse website usage, your IP address and information such as timestamps, websites visited and your language settings are recorded. We store the information collected in this way on our server in Germany for a period of 365 days. Data is not passed on to third parties.
This website uses Matomo with the "AnonymiseIP" extension. This means that IP addresses are further processed in abbreviated form and cannot be directly linked to individuals. The IP address transmitted by your browser using Matomo is not merged with other data collected by us. The legal basis for the use of Matomo is Art. 6 Abs. 1 S. 1 lit. f DS-GVO.

You can prevent the use of Matomo by removing the following tick to activate the opt-out plug-in:

In this case, an opt-out cookie is stored in your browser that prevents Matomo from saving usage data. If you delete your cookies, the Matomo opt-out cookie will also be deleted. The opt-out must then be reactivated when you visit our site again.

The Matomo programme is an open source project. Information from the third-party provider on data protection is available at https://matomo.org/privacy/.

4. Integration of YouTube

YouTube videos may be integrated into our website. The operator of the corresponding plugins is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. When you visit a page on our website that contains such a plugin, your browser establishes a direct connection with the YouTube servers. This tells the YouTube server which pages you have visited. If you are logged in with your YouTube account, you enable YouTube to assign your surfing behaviour to you personally.

If you log out of your YouTube account before visiting our website, you can prevent this information from being transmitted.

When a YouTube video is started, the provider uses cookies that collect information about user behaviour.

If you have deactivated the storage of cookies for the Google Ad programme, you will not have to assume that such cookies are stored when watching YouTube videos. However, YouTube also stores non-personalised usage information in other cookies. If you wish to prevent this, you must block the storage of cookies in your browser.

Further information on the handling of user data can be found in YouTube's privacy policy at: www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy

YouTube will only be loaded with your consent, i.e. no data about you as a user will be transmitted to YouTube if you have not given your consent. Only with your consent can the videos be played and data about which of our websites you have visited be transmitted to the YouTube server.

By activating the service, you voluntarily consent to the aforementioned data processing. This also includes your consent acc. Art. 49 Abs. 1 lit. a DSGVO for data processing outside the EEA, in this case in the USA. In countries outside the EEA, the high European level of data protection cannot necessarily be guaranteed despite the careful selection and commitment of service providers. If data is transferred to the USA, for example, there is a risk that this data may be processed by US authorities for control and monitoring purposes without effective legal remedies being available or all data subject rights being enforceable. You can revoke your consent at any time.
